The idea of this pairing is inspired by this Transformers fanfiction, Swaying. The fic is a side-story of this AHM-verse fanfic, Ghosts.
In Ghosts, Kup orders a few mechs to mate with the remaining female Autobots in order to end the femmes' breeding cycle. Drift gets Lancer, and they have a baby named Sway afterward.
Drift has been through a very hard time himself before joining the Autobots, so he vows that he will never let his child suffer. His relationship with Lancer is like some kind of arranged marriage, but they both love their son dearly and things are slowly getting better between them.
All the Japanese cultural traits you see on this cover are the result of Drift's character concepts from the comics. And that Pocky comment is from the Transformers Wiki. I thought it was pretty funny when I first saw the caption under that picture, so I added it here.
By the way, the quotes in the very beginning are from the television series Game of Thrones. I don't know why, but the lines just popped into my head when I was typing this comment...
So I just found another crack pairing to ship. I didn't even know who this Lancer was when I first read the story, and now I'm happily shipping these two. I really have a thing for these unconventional pairings, apparently.
Well my friend and I write a Transformers Prime fanfiction that has non cannon characters in it such as Bluestreak and Mirage (I know I know I'm predictable )and original characters in it, like the main two protagonists (who maybe will fall in love, I dunno I lie, they probably will).
...now it sounds like I'm advertising.
In short, a Mirage/OC and a Bluestreak/OC would be amazing to see. If not that then maybe just one Mirage and one Bluestreak.
Wa-hey! I'm in! 8D

My friend would freak either way
WAT.
The things you do amaze me. (Plus, I envy your people-drawing skills)
