A piece of illustration for my dear friend 's first published story, The Stranger. You can read it from this Sci-Fi romance anthology, Tales from the SFR Brigade.


(And I even made a book cover art because *Letohatchee is awesome. )




Nolyra lost her bonded mate when the Skellyds invaded Earth. The evil aliens had killed numerous humans, but the humans managed to find another planet to be their new home. As a rebel leader, Nolyra had helped many people escape from Earth and the Skellyds.


One day, Nolyra met a stranger during one of her missions in an underground cave. The man was severely wounded, so she tried to help him despite his animosity. She didn't notice anything out of place until she saw a familiar mark on the man's right arm. That mark looked exactly like the one she had on her own body...






If you're interested in the story, you can download it for free from this website. By the way, I was listening to Miika Mettiainen's Far Away while drawing this. It's a very beautiful song indeed.
