Humanized version of Breakdown and Airachnid from Transformers: Prime. The scene is inspired by this amazing song, Seven Devils.
Being a Breakdown/Airachnid shipper, I was devastated after watching Crossfire. My dear Breakdown is dead, and he is killed by the femme he almost fell in love with. Now I'll never have the chance to draw that wedding scene I promised.
So, this is my imaginary scene of Breakdown VS Airachnid: Round Two. It's a "What if Breakdown survives Airachnid's brutal attack and they meet again on the battlefield afterward?" scenario. It must be intense (or maybe a little bit awkward) to see the familiar face of the very same person who attempted to kill you previously. They did try to kill each other in Crossfire, after all. Somebody will definitely get hurt in the end.
Another reason I wanted to draw these two is because I'm not happy about their fates in the show. I don't like Silas, so the idea of MECH using Breakdown's corpse to sustain Silas's life annoys me. And I'm disappointed by how the writers handled Airachnid's character in Armada. I was expecting something epic like a furious Knock Out avenging his hunky assistant in the show, dammit!
... oh well, no matter what happened to these two Decepticons in TFP, I still ship them. I will ship this pairing FOREVER.
Breakdown X Blackarachnia forever, even despite "Crossfire", is how I see it too! A fic I found recently on fanfiction dot net has helped the pain somewhat, with a somewhat dark but ultimately more positive (while remaining canon) spin on the whole Airachnid killing Breakdown thin called "Latrodectus". I suggest giving it a chance if you're interested!
Glad you enjoyed it! I wish the writer would continue the idea and expand upon it more...could make for an interesting series. Might be something for me to look into in the future though if they don't...

And thanks a bunch for this kind comment! It's always nice to meet another Breakdown/Airachnid supporter.

It's a bit dark...as in, it is VERY dark, but I like it as it fits within the lines of canon without breaking any canon specifically (yet)!
You are very welcome again! I'm glad to have found another ardent supporter of Breakdown/Airachnid who also happens to be an amazing artist!
And thanks again for all these kind words. You're too sweet!
You are still very welcome
