Regret

Oh my God... drawing these robots nearly killed me.



So, this is a piece of fanart for one of my favorite Transformers fanfiction authors, (aka Hearts of Eternity on FanFiction.Net). The scene is from one of her "WE" continuality one-shots series, Before I Fade Away. It's a story about Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, which reveals the dark sides of the Twins. I was so touched by the story and almost cried when I read this fic... After the reading, I immediately decided to draw a picture for it.


In the story, Sunstreaker didn't pay much attention to his brother's feelings since he had been lost in the excitement of slaughtering his opponents during the match. Then one day Sideswipe was attacked by some mechs and was severely damaged. Sunstreaker was so furious and he killed all the mechs who dared to harm his twin brother. He came back to the medical wing after the killing and wouldn't leave his dying brother for a second.

This is a scene of Sunstreaker holding the unconscious Sideswipe's hand. His armour was soaked with the pouring energon from his victims but he didn't care - all on his CPU was the fear of losing his only sibling in the world.



I didn't have my computer when I sketched this, so I took the only one G1 comic book I have - "The Transformers: Infiltration" - for reference while doing the sketching. Then I found that the Sunstreaker in the said comic book looks very different from the one in the G1 cartoons when I was about to color the picture on my computer... I was too lazy to redo it so I kept the original lineart and changed the colors slightly to make him look much more like the G1 Sunstreaker I've known. I hope he doesn't look weird in this pic...
