Humanized version of Knock Out and Breakdown from Transformers: Prime. The scene is inspired by this song, Lust for Blood.
The story behind this scenario is simple. Those MECH guys use Breakdown's corpse for their 'science project', and they turn the dead Decepticon into a horrendous killing machine. When Knock Out meets this new Breakdown on battlefield, he can't believe that the very monster he has to face right now was once his good old buddy...
Knock Out got all those scars after being hit by a train in Tunnel Vision. That's why he looks so ugly here. I don't like Silas, so here I decided to make Breakdown look like a Terminator instead of a creepy Silas/Breakdown chimera creature. I can't stand seeing Breakdown and that annoying Silas sharing a frame together. I JUST CAN'T.
So, here's one of the scenes I'd love to see in later episodes of TFP. I was greatly disappointed at Knock Out's reaction (or lack of reaction) upon Breakdown's death, so hopefully we can get to see a confrontation or face-off between these two.
And the show is still on hiatus. I truly hope we don't have to wait for another 6 months till the next episode comes out...
The lack of reaction from Knock Out was partially rectified in "The Human Factor" luckily, but I think it still could have been taken up to another level.
A fight like this would be quite interesting though. I am so glad that Silas ended up getting his "place at the table" though, even if it wasn't the table he intended.
Oh, I know. I was glad that the writers didn't forget the fact that Breakdown and Knock Out had been close partners for some time before Breadown was killed. It would be very weird if KO totally forgot about his good old buddy's presence. At least we got to see some reaction from KO. Even though it wasn't much.
Agreed. I wish there was a bit more shown about Knock Out's reaction, but I am just pleased to have seen a reaction at all.
I kind of wish there was more friendship related things of them online...most of it is just shipping, since people aren't allowed to just be friends anymore. Oh well.
Me too! I don't mind the whole mech/mech shipping thing, but sometimes I think it would be nice to see some pure friendship stories about Knock Out and Breakdown. It seems most of the stories related to them are about two robots having sex or something like that.
I don't have a problem with mech/mech shipping either, but it kind of is out of hand with how friendship simply does not exist in the fandom anymore, and at the very best is a rare thing to track and hunt down. Thundercracker/Skywarp, Knock Out/Breakdown, Optimus/Megatron...the list goes on of friends who are paired endlessly but only rarely shown as actual friends. It seems to propagate the idea that there isn't such a thing as friendship, only restrained lust and longing. -_-
Probably why when I see an alternative to such a pairing (Breakdown/Airachnid in this case) I cling to it with all my heart. Cuz it's both awesome and defies the norm.
I know how you feel. Sometimes I just wanna read a story about friendship, yet most fics I find are those typical yaoi fics which tend to focus on the interface part more. Why can't two mechs just be friends? The fans can be quite crazy sometimes.
Lol, that's why I love Breakdown/Airachnid so much. Where's the fun when everyone is shipping the same "popular" pairing such as Knock Out/Breakdown or Arcee/Airachnid? We need more diversity in this world, really.
We do need more diversity I just found about 100 stories easy for Knock Out/Breakdown, but I can't even find 10 for Airachnid/Breakdown. All the more reason to write for them, I say!
I'm kind of psyched to start working on the story...still need to rewatch episodes and think of a beginning for it though. Oh, and find the time to do the above
Oh yes, I completely agree with the Silas thing, and I expected a stronger reaction too. I absolutely love the dark use of color here. Dare I say, you're a genius with shading? :3
Just WOW.
